HANOI – The state-run oil and gas giant PetroVietnam has reported to the Government on the progress of its 11 projects using State funds, most of them cost-extensive ones, Tuoi Tre reports. These include the VND98-trillion Nghi Son oil refinery in the North and the VND96-trillion refinery plant No.3 project in the South, both expected for completion in 2013.

HANOI – Licogi Infrastructure Construction and Development Company is considering to sue the Northern Airports Authority (NAA) for the slow settlement of VND18 billion as arrears of the contract value to develop Noi Bai Terminal, Nguoi Lao Dong quoted Vu Tien Giao, director of Licogi, as saying.

BINH DINH - Urban Civilization Development Company has had its business certificate for a VND167-billion property project of luxury villas revoked by authorities of the central province of Binh Dinh due to the long delay in developing the project, Phap Luat reports.

HANOI – Civil Engineering Construction No.1 in collaboration with the American partner Hall Brother on Wednesday introduced the Novachip technology on a pilot basis on an eight-meter road segment, Lao Dong reports. The European technology is applied for road surface to enhance safety for drivers.

HCMC – The HCMC-based Viet Vien Dong Company has launched a home shopping channel named Vina Homeshopping, Tuoi Tre reports. All products will be showcased for customers via catalogues, SCTV5 channel or at the website

DANANG – Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) yesterday put into operation a general exchange center in the central city of Danang, Thoi bao Kinh te Viet Nam reports. This is the first center that will introduce all VNPT’s telecommunications services and ICT products.
