More than 100 food booths will be featured at the annual food festival named “Taste of the World” scheduled for January 11 to 14 at Le Van Tam Park in HCMC’s District 1.

The 12th edition of the festival, organized by the HCMC Department of Tourism in conjunction with the Vietnam Tourism Association, is expected to attract the participation of many countries like Denmark, Argentina, Italy and Thailand.

Furthermore, a food court showcasing traditional typical dishes spanning from Vietnam’s three regions of South, Central and the North and depicting a cultural space of street food will be available to meet the diverse taste of Vietnamese diners.

In addition, a variety of entertainment activities such as don ca tai tu (Southern folk music) performances, a cooking show and a talk show will be held at the food festival.

Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, deputy director of the municipal Department of Tourism, was quoted by the Vietnam News Agency as saying that the four-day event with its theme “A culinary journey connecting the world” is an opportunity for food connoisseurs to delve into the cuisines of different cultures while invigorating the city’s tourism and spurring the friendship and cooperation among countries.
